Tshepo Mahloele

(Chief Executive Officer)

Mr. Mahloele, CEO of Harith Fund Managers which is spearheading Africa’s first and only 15 year fund, the Pan African Infrastructure Development Fund (PAIDF).

Prior to his involvement as one of the originators of PAIDF, Mahloele headed the Corporate Finance and the Isibaya Fund Division of the Public Investment Corporation (PIC). The PIC is the largest Investment Manager in South Africa with over US $90 billion under management. A recipient of two recognition awards from the Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals (ABSIP) for his work.

Mahloele also headed the Private Sector Investment arm of the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA). He has also worked for Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) and the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC). He holds a B Proc Degree from Rhodes University. He completed various programmes and certificate courses in finance and venture capital, completed the Harvard AMP programme, and is a Board Member of financial services company: Capitec Bank Limited, power & telecommunications company: NewGX Partnership/CIVH, chairman of London domiciled independent power producer: Aldwych Holding Limited and 4th mobile phone operator of Kenya: Essar Kenya Telecoms Limited.

 
 

Alwyn Wessels

(Chief Investment Officer)

BCom Honours, Certificate in the Theory of Accountancy, Higher Certificate Financial Markets.

Before joining Harith, he enjoyed over 10 years of experience as Senior Consultant for Absa Bank Limited trading as Absa Capital, responsible for Project and Infrastructure Finance. Prior to his spell at Absa Capital, he occupied different positions in South African based companies operating in the manufacturing and construction industries.

 
 

Pani Tyalimpi

(Chief Operations Officer)

BCom (Hons), MBL (Finance), Investments and Portfolio Management certificate.

Pani Tyalimpi is the Chief Operating Officer of Harith Fund Manager responsible for Operations. Prior to working for Harith Fund Managers she was an executive at the Development Bank of Southern Africa and largely responsible for the funding of municipality infrastructure programmes in Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu- Natal. She worked for several financial institutions, including Public Investment Corporation (“PIC”) as the head of Isibaya Fund. She also worked for African Harvest Capital and ABN Amro, where she was employed in corporate advisory services. Pani also spent five years at the Development Bank of South Africa, working in the Project Finance Unit. She currently serves on various boards of companies and investment committees.

 
 

Emile Du Toit

(Head of PAIDF 1)

BCom Honours, CA(SA) and CFA Charter, has 12 years Corporate Finance, Private Equity and Investment Banking experience.

Prior to joining Harith, he worked for the Development Bank of Southern Africa where he was Divisional Executive for Private Equity and Investment Banking. After completing his articles at KPMG he joined KPMG Corporate Finance and subsequently also SANIP, a joint BAE/SAAB investment initiative. He joined the DBSA in 2003 as a Senior Investment Officer, and was promoted to Head of Corporate Finance in 2005 and then Divisional Executive for the Investment Banking Division in 2008. He held that position since 2008 and also had overall responsibility for all Equity Investments at the DBSA, including the Private Equity Portfolio. He has represented DBSA on the Boards of various Investee Companies and also on the advisory Boards of various Private Equity Funds. In addition, he also serves on the board of the South African Venture Capital Association (SAVCA).

 
 

Dawie Nieman

(Chief Financial Officer)

Before joining Harith he managed his own company for 8 years specialising in asset financing, risk management and co management. Prior to this he enjoyed success in various senior positions in the manufacturing and service industries.

 
 

Pule Molebeledi

(Investor Relations and Communication Executive)

Formerly: Associate Editor and Political Editor at the Business Day, General Manager at BDFM, Journalist at Sowetan and New Nation. Former Committee member of the Advertising Media Association South Africa and National Editors Forum South Africa. Pule was also head of sales at CNBC Africa.

 
 

Lindi Raulinga

(Human Resources Manager)

Her experience cross over 11 years of Human Resources in various sectors including Financial Services, Pharmaceutical and Retail industries. She joined Harith from the Financial Intelligence Centre, where she was responsible for the development and implementation of an integrated Human Resources system and procedures.

 
 

Theli Gabelana

(Legal and Risk Manager)

B Juris , LLB

Theli has been practicing law for 19 years. He started working as a public defender in the department of Justice. Theli was also a partner at Nompozolo and Gabelana attorneys and was also a partner at Gabelana attorneys . Theli worked at the special court for the Legal Aid board of South Africa and is currenly legal and risk manager at Harith Fund Managers.
 
 

Tertius Steyn

(Company Secretary)

BProc

Tertius is a non practising admitted Attorney with the right to appear in the High Court of the Republic of South Africa. Prior to joining Harith, he worked as a Company Secretary at institutions in South Africa such as the Lethimvula Group. He also worked as a Legal Advisor at Bophuthatswana National Development Corporation, and possesses vast experience as a Company Secretary and Legal Advisor.
