From 2004 to September 2008, he served as Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of South Africa, and also Chairperson of the Public Investment Corporation Limited. He currently serves on various boards in South Africa.

Tshepo Mahloele
(Chief Executive Officer)
CEO of Harith Fund Managers which is spearheading Africa’s first and only 15 year fund, the Pan African Infrastructure Development Fund (PAIDF).

Prior to his involvement as one of the originators of PAIDF, Mahloele headed the Corporate Finance and the Isibaya Fund Division of the Public Investment Corporation (PIC). The PIC is the largest Investment Manager in South Africa with over US $90 billion under management. A recipient of two recognition awards from the Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals (ABSIP) for his work.
Mahloele also headed the Private Sector Investment arm of the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA). He has also worked for Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) and the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC). He holds a BProc Degree from Rhodes University. He completed various programmes and certificate courses in finance and venture capital, completed the Harvard AMP programme, and is a Board Member of financial services company: Capitec Bank Limited, power & telecommunications company: NewGX Partnership/CIVH, chairman of London domiciled independent power producer: Aldwych Holding Limited and 4th mobile phone operator of Kenya: Essar Kenya Telecoms Limited.

Enjoyed over 10 years of experience as Senior Consultant for Absa Bank Limtied trading as Absa Capital prior to joining Harith, responsible for Projects and Infrastructure Finance. Prior to his spell at Absa Capital, he occupied different positions in South African based companies operating in the manufacturing and construction industries.

Solomon (Sollie) Nortje

Solomon Nortje, BCom Honours, MCom, THOD, CAIB, is currently employed as a Principal in the Infrastructure Private Equity Investments division of Absa Bank Limited trading as Absa Capital.

He is responsible for debt origination in the PPP and infrastructure division, with particular emphasis on PPP Initiatives and limited recourse funding, as well as limited recourse transactions in the industrial sector. Previously, he worked for Nedcor Investment Bank in South Africa as an Assistant General Manager for the Public Sector Project and Structured Finance division. Prior to joining Nedbank, he was employed by the Development Bank of Southern Africa as a General Manager.

Ignatius Sehoole

BCom, BCompt Honours, Certificate of Theory in Accountancy, General Management Diploma, CA (SA), is the Deputy President of Price Waterhouse Coopers Southern Africa, and the Executive President of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Prior to taking up these positions, he was employed with Murray & Roberts Contractors in South Africa, where he was responsible for mergers, acquisitions and disposals, as well as feasibility studies for greenfields operations. He also worked at Fedics Food Services in South Africa as Group Internal Audit Manager and a year later as its General Manager in Finance. He was later promoted to Operations Director: Inland Region, and then to the Managing Director of Inland Region. In this capacity he was instrumental in bringing an empowerment consortium into the Fedics group. He completed his articles at Deloitte & Touche in South Africa and served a brief period at Transnet Limited. He currently serves on various Governing Boards.

Christoph (Chris) Kuhn

CA (SA), is the head of the Corporate Finance division of Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (South Africa) Limited.

He has been a senior member in this team for over 15 years, during which time he has led various key projects, including acquisitions, disposals and Black Empowerment Deals of the company. He is a member of several Investment Committees and Governing Boards regarding Old Mutual policyholder investments in private equity and infrastructure. He has over 13 years Corporate Finance experience, having previously worked in the Corporate Finance teams at Anglo American and BOE Merchant Bank in South Africa. He previously worked for Standard Bank of South Africa Limited.
