Arthur Moloto

(Chairperson)

Post-Graduate Diploma in Economic Principles, BA Honours (Development Studies), BA (Education).

Former Head of the South African Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Finance. He previously served as the Political Whip of the Ruling Party in South Africa, the African National Congress, and as Deputy-Director (Programme Management) at the Office of the Premier in Limpopo. He currently serves as a Special Adviser to the Minister of Public Enterprises of the Republic of South Africa. He is also the Chairperson of Government Employees Pension Fund.

 
 

Ekue Samuel Mivedor

(Trustee)

Advanced Mathematics and Physics, Mechanical Engineer (Stressed and Pre-Stressed Concrete Structures), MBA Honours (Investment and Corporate Finance Management; Information Technology and Science Management).

Employed by the African Development Bank as a Manager in the Portfolio Management Division of the Private Sector and Microfinance Department. Prior to this, he held various positions at the AfDB, including Chief Portfolio Management Officer, Principal Financial Analyst and Senior Financial Analyst. Prior to joining the AfDB, he held positions as the Head of Operations at the West African Stock Exchange, Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income Trader at Ecobank, Information Technology Project Consultant at COGITE, Financial Risk Analyst at Lehman Brothers, Marketing and Sales Analyst at JC Penny, Chief Construction Engineer at Campenon Bernard, and Construction Engineer at Electrical Community of Benin.

 
 

Tshepo Mahloele

(Trustee)

CEO of Harith Fund Managers which is spearheading Africa’s first and only 15 year fund, the Pan African Infrastructure Development Fund (PAIDF).

Prior to his involvement as one of the originators of PAIDF, Mahloele headed the Corporate Finance and the Isibaya Fund Division of the Public Investment Corporation (PIC). The PIC is the largest Investment Manager in South Africa with over US $90 billion under management. A recipient of two recognition awards from the Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals (ABSIP) for his work.

Mahloele also headed the Private Sector Investment arm of the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA). He has also worked for Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) and the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC). He holds a BProc Degree from Rhodes University. He completed various programmes and certificate courses in finance and venture capital, completed the Harvard AMP programme, and is a Board Member of financial services company: Capitec Bank Limited, power & telecommunications company: NewGX Partnership/CIVH, chairman of London domiciled independent power producer: Aldwych Holding Limited and 4th mobile phone operator of Kenya: Essar Kenya Telecoms Limited.

 
 

Solomon (Sollie) Nortje

(Trustee)

Mr Nortje is currently employed as Head of Business Development by Absa Corporate Division. He is responsible for debt origination in Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) infrastructure initiatives.

Previously Mr Nortje was employed at the PSG Investment Bank as an Associates Director in the Structured and Project Finance Division. Before that he was with Nedcor Investment Bank as an Assistant General Manager.

 
 

Christoph (Chris) Kuhn

(Trustee)

Christoph Kuhn, CA (SA), is the head of the Corporate Finance division of Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (South Africa) Limited.

He has been a senior member in this team for over 15 years, during which time he has led various key projects, including acquisitions, disposals and Black Empowerment Deals of the company. He is a member of several Investment Committees and Governing Boards regarding Old Mutual policyholder investments in private equity and infrastructure. He has over 13 years Corporate Finance experience, having previously worked in the Corporate Finance teams at Anglo American and BOE Merchant Bank in South Africa. He previously worked for Standard Bank of South Africa Limited.

 
 

Hussein Yusuf Iman

Hussein Iman has over 15 years experience in development finance. He is currently a Chief Investment Officer, Private Sector Department at the African Development Bank’s South Africa Regional Office in Pretoria, South Africa. Hussein is responsible for growing the Banks private sector business and managing the portfolio of projects in South Africa Regional field office which handles six countries (Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, Swaziland, Zimbabwe and South Africa).

As Chief Investment Officer in Industries and Services Division, Private Sector Department, he has been developing the Bank’s mining & oil and gas portfolio in the past 6 years. In addition to building a strong pipeline of projects in Industries & Services division, he was instrumental in the Board approval of seven complex, innovative but challenging transactions amounting valued at USD 700 million (Sasol gas pipeline, Moma mineral sands, Lumwana mining project, Tenke Fungurume copper project, Ambatovy nickel project, Guinea Alumina Refinery and SNIM project). Mr. Hussein has been involved in involved in promotional missions for the Bank.

Prior to his assignment at the African Development Bank, Hussein worked as financial controller for an integrated rural development project in Baidoa , Somalia Mr Hussein received a Bsc degree in Finance from the University of Wyoming and an MBA in Finance from University of Denver, Colorado.
