Lungile Constance “Zee” Cele

Zee practises as a Tax Consultant and Professional Accountant and has been running her Durban based company, TAX SOLUTIONS CC, since 1989. In February 2011, Zee’s company merged with an Accounting firm Garach & Garach, which has offices in Durban and Rosebank.
Zee holds a Master of Accountancy (Taxation) degree from Natal University. In 1995 she obtained the Executive Leadership Development Programme certificate from Arthur D. Little Management Education Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.
After graduating from Fort Hare University with a B.Com degree, Zee joined Unilever in Durban as a management trainee. She later obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Taxation and an M.Acc degree from the University of Natal. She held a senior position at the office of the Receiver of Revenue before leaving to set up her own company. Problems in the workplace with understanding the tax system prompted Zee to co-produce two videos on the subject in 1991. She has also contributed a chapter on "Women and Tax" in the book “ SOUTH AFRICAN WOMEN TODAY”, published by Maskew Miller, Longman. In August 1999 Zee received the S.A Woman of the Year Award - Business Category (awarded by Shoprite/Checkers and SABC3). She was recognised for her achievements by the Durban City Council in 1999 when she became one of the recipients of the Mayor's Awards for Excellence.
Zee co-founded Sport For All Franchising (Pty) Ltd, a social franchising organisation that provides access to various sport codes in townships and rural communities.
She was a council member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (Formerly Institute of Commercial and Financial Accountants) from 1998 to 2003. She served on the board and Audit Committee of Eskom Holdings Ltd from 2005 to 2011. Zee currently serves on the boards and Audit Committees of the following listed companies: Hulamin Ltd, Efficient Financial Holdings Ltd and Combined Motor Holdings Limited. She also serves on the boards of Trade and Investment KZN (also Audit Committee Chair), Avbob, and of High Footprint Management (Pty) Ltd, a company that manages uShaka Marine World.
Zee is a commercial member of the Tax Court and has been a member of the Standing Advisory Committee on Company Law until March 2011.
She is married to Bongani and they have 3 grown up children.

Arthur has a rich background which infuses both private and public sectors. He has held offices as a Progamme Manager, Deputy Director in the Office of the Premier, where he was directly responsible for the implementation of government strategy and programmes, among other positions. He has served as a Member of Parliament of South Africa (MP) and also chaired the Standing Committee on the Auditor General. Arthur has been a special advisor to the Minister of Public enterprises whip of portfolio committees on both energy and finance.
He currently serves as a Non-Executive Board Director for Kansai Plascon, SA Corporate Real Estate Fund, CEEF. Africa and Harith General Partners.

Roshan is the managing and founding partner of the Roshan Morar & Associates Audit and Accounting Practice. His experience includes all aspects of the corporate environment, with a special focus in Property Investments and Finance, Risk Management and Private Equity Transactions. Roshan has been involved in an advisory role on various successful start-up businesses and Black Economic Empowerment Management Buyouts among others.
